Together we do wonderful things
In Romania, approximately 5 million Romanians live on the brink of poverty. In order to actively contribute to reducing food waste and combating poverty in the country, Lidl has supported the establishment of the first network of Food Banks in Romania, which operates on the model of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA). In this context, in parallel with the donation of food and non-food products made directly by the retailer, Lidl and the Food Banks in Roman organize a food collection through which customers can also support disadvantaged people. Through this action, Lidl customers can donate food to beneficiaries of NGOs and partner centers of the Food Banks network. Orphans, the elderly, children and adults on the verge of poverty or people with disabilities are some of the disadvantaged categories that will enjoy support through this project.
